OlderIrish American Songstress Queeva Recorded Her First Album at Age Nine!
Meet Queeva, an amazingly talented country music artist, who’s all about inspiring others!
The 14-year-old songstress, whose real name is Caoimhe McDonagh, chatted with JJJ about how she got her start in the entertainment industry, the other language she speaks and her cameo on Chicago Fire!

1. I was an Irish dancer for about four years, and I competed in many different feises (Irish Folk Festival). The reason why I stopped Irish dancing was because it became a huge commitment and it was hard for me to balance it with school and my career.
2. I recorded my first album when I was nine, and this was definitely a huge step towards building my career as a singer. Jamie O’Neal helped me create this album, and she introduced me to songwriting.
4. I speak Gaelic, but not as fluently as I used to when I was a kid. It’s nice to have a second language that is unusual, but I really wish it was more popular because Gaelic could fade away in years to come.
5. I travel to Ireland every summer, and I spend time with my family. It is so awesome to go away to Ireland because it reminds me of who I am, and it is a nice break from reality.

6. My first concert I went to was Taylor Swifts Fearless tour when I was six years old. I always remember thinking to myself, I wanna be like her someday. Taylor also influenced my love for country music, and I knew her songs like they were my own.
7. I have been an actress since I was seven years old. I loved to perform scenes with my friends at the acting school I went to, and just learn new monologues. I went to a competition in L.A called IMTA, and I broke the record for forty-five callbacks from agents. Becoming an amazing actress was also a dream of mine, but becoming a musician was always first.
8. I was in an episode of a TV series called Chicago Fire when I was nine, and I was also in a build-a-bear commercial when I was ten. I had so much fun on set when filming, and loved working with other talented actors/actresses.
9. I have 5 siblings and three dogs, so my house can be pretty busy. I love having a big family because I’m never bored!
10. Something interesting about me that not many people know about is that I like to rock climb. I like rock climbing because you get to use every part of your body and challenge yourself.
