Who else has been loving Tess Romero on Diary of a Future President?! Same!
The young actress stars as Elena, a 12-year-old Cuban American and future leader, through the narration from her diary, the series follows those awkward middle school years which set Elena up to become the president of the United States.
Tess recently shared 10 Fun Facts with JJJ and we got to know the star a little bit more, including what she has an “unhealthy obsession” with.
“I’ve even lost a few close friends and family members over this as they attempted to let me hit rock bottom,” she joked with us. “Every time I think it’s behind me, I just continue to relapse.”

- 2. Aside from acting, I love art, music, and dancing. On average, I spend 5 to 6 days a week at my dance studio.

- 6. Over the summer, when all of those “what celebrity do you look like†apps were a thing, I tried it and my celebrity doppelgänger was … Gina Rodriguez (who produces the show)!
- 7. Once, I ate a fish eye. My grandma says she used to eat them all the time growing up in the Philippines.
- 8. I have a poster on my bedroom wall of Shakespearean insults. One of my favorites is “Thou dost infect mine eyes,” from Richard III.
- 9. Bruno Mars is my skin care inspo.
- 10. I am a fighter. I’ve had a canker sore for a week now, and I haven’t let that stop me.
