Hayley Orrantia & Sam Lerner Get Engaged In 'The Goldbergs' Season 8 Finale

She said yes!!!

Sam Lerner‘s Geoff Schwartz got down on one knee at the beach and asked Hayley Orrantia‘s Erica to marry him in the season eight finale of The Goldbergs, which aired on Wednesday night (May 19).

Before asking her, he did make sure to ask her dad for permission, and both of their families were there to witness it!

“It’s the moment all #Gerica fans have been waiting for! They’re engaged!!! Thank you to everyone for tuning in every week to this amazing show we call family! While this season finale was an exciting storyline, it hit incredibly hard as we found out about George Segal’s passing an hour before shooting the proposal. In a weird way, we all felt him there on that beach, huddled together during that sunset and sent him our love… I think somewhere he could feel it. 💜 Thank you all again for your support and I’m looking forward to what Season 9 brings,” Hayley shared on Instagram after the episode.

And yes, you read that right. It was recently revealed that The Goldbergs has in fact been renewed for a ninth season!! Get ready for wedding planning next season!
