The Shadowhunters actor executive produced My American Identity Project, alongside his brother/director Diego Felipe.
“Now, in the same country exactly 4 years later with another election looming, we sit quarantined at home, physically divided and more disengaged from our neighbors than ever before,” the brothers told JJJ in an exclusive statement. “This documentary needed to be released because we believe Americans want to feel a connection to their communities, and their country, now more than ever.”
Here’s a synopsis: In the summer of 2016 when the American people were at a divide and the media was a frenzy of conflicting views and political slogans, Diego Felipe (director) was beginning to feel confused about the country he knew and grew up in. That’s when he had the idea to take a road trip across the entire the United States to meet other Americans, all with the intention of learning more about the country. So he packed up his parent’s old Ford and hit the road with his two best friends to see what he could learn from his fellow citizens.
Alberto and Diego will host a virtual red carpet at 7pm PST, with the film premiering at 8pm PST. They will watch with the world and then do a Q&A when the film finishes.
My American Identity Project will be available RIGHT HERE later tonight!

The seven stars opened up about the final season of the series, which premieres on Monday on Freeform.
EPs Todd Slavkin and Darren Swimmer also opened up about the final episodes, where they teased something big among the wolf and vampire packs.
“There’s politics throughout Season 3B in terms of the wolf pack,” they shared with Hidden Remote. “We get into that, and also in terms of the vampires, the New York clan, we get into that as well.”
They continued, “Heidi’s not gone forever. She’ll be back, and new faces as well. So the show — and while we love emotional stuff and the character stuff — there’s a really interesting, sophisticated storylines this season that I think will catch audiences off-guard and take them along a really cool ride.”
