There are so many great songs on Alessia Cara‘s new album The Pains of Growing and its available for you to listen to right now!
The 22-year-old singer, who won Best New Artist at the Grammys earlier this year, has already released two songs from the album – “Growing Pains” and “Trust My Lonely.”
Alessia recently told Billboard about the song “Trust My Lonely.”
“When I initially wrote that song, I wrote it because of my insecurities,” she said. “I think a lot of people, we become comfortable in our misery or comfortable in a relationship that may be bad for us. This song was just a reminder for me and for everyone to just trust yourself and let go of things don’t serve you in a positive way, especially your heart and your soul.”

“had a lot of fun making this video. the whole thing is inspired by Wes Anderson and I wanted to throw in some references to his movies. see if you can catch them. thanks @aar0n_a as always for being the movie magician,” Alessia wrote on her Instagram.
Alessia‘s new album The Pains of Growing is set to drop on November 30th.
During a recent interview with Rolling Stone, Alessia opened up about the difficulties she sometimes has when writing new music.
“It’s very difficult to sit in a room with someone else, or with other people, and have to tell them about that and be that person with them so that they can write something with you,†Alessia shared. “I just thought, there’s no better person to write this than me. It was so personal to me. It was a really sacred thing

Alessia Cara has been wearing an oversized suit for her upcoming album Growing Pains since earlier this year – and it’s about much more than being named best dressed on a fashion list.
After a fan told her that her wearing that specific suit was “getting old”, the 22-year-old singer shut their negative opinions about the way she dressed down.
“That is what I’m wearing for this album as it represents something to me,” Alessia responded. “No it doesn’t fit, no, it isn’t particularly flattering, but it’s what I’m putting on while I sing my songs I’ve worked incredibly hard on.”
She added, “Open your minds or keep your tired opinions to yourselves.”
Alessia also commented on the negative comments she tends to get because of her suit.
“I don’t like giving attention to negative comments, but I just want to log onto my twitter & be able to talk to my supporters without seeing the same shit about what I wear,” she added. “I work too hard as a writer and artist to be reduced down to the girl who dresses bad. Do something else!”
Alessia picked up the Best World Stage award at the event over the weekend in Bilbao, Spain.

Alessia Cara steps out for a promo event at Radio Hamburg on Thursday (November 1) in Hamburg, Germany.
The 22-year-old singer is gearing up to finally release her new album, Growing Pains, which is out on November 30th.
“If you listen to the whole thing, it just really feels like change and you can see what those changes are and where they were, and where I was at,” Alessia told Billboard of the album.
She adds, “Sonically, it’s a little bit more mature, and a little bit more cohesive. It just feels more like a full album.”
