Samantha Logan and Greta Onieogou step out in style for the The CW’s Summer 2019 TCA Party held at The Beverly Hilton Hotel on Sunday night (August 4) in Beverly Hills, Calif.
During the panel, Cody and Taye both opened up about how grateful they were to get an additional season on the network.
“It’s a huge blessing. Now we have eyes on the show and the opportunity to come back and explore these characters,” Cody shared.
Taye added, ““We were all very hopeful and very encouraged because we knew we were part of something special. Nobody knows what goes on behind closed door or how decisions are made… I acted as if we were coming back and was very hopeful. I had no idea that the show would do as well as it did on Netflix… I was very grateful and relieved.â€

Tonight’s the official premiere of The CW’s new All American series!
The premiere episode centers on Spencer James (Daniel Ezra), a rising high school football player and an A student at South Crenshaw High, who is recruited by Beverly High School’s football coach Billy Baker (Taye Diggs).
Spencer is conflicted on whether or not to move to Beverly High but Spencer’s mother, Grace (Karimah Westbrook), and his best friend, Coop (Bre-Z), convince Spencer it’s an opportunity he has to seize. When Spencer is forced to move in with Billy and his family, these two families and their vastly different worlds are drawn together.
They will discover that the differences that divide us on the surface hide a deeper connection – the complicated, imperfect humanity that unites us all.
The new show centers on a high school football player (Ezra) from South Central L.A. who is recruited to play for Beverly Hills High and the wins, losses and struggles of two families from different worlds.
All American premieres Wednesday, October 10th @ 9PM ET/PT.
Cody Christian and Daniel Ezra suit up sharp for the Summer 2018 TCA Press Tour at The Beverly Hilton Hotel on Monday (August 6) in Beverly Hills, Calif
The two actors were joined by executive producers Greg Berlanti, April Blair, and Spencer Paysinger plus co-stars Bre-Z, Taye Diggs, and Samantha Logan for the All American panel.
“What makes this different is it’s a tale of two cities, unlike the OC where [Ryan Atwood] left and never went back to Chino. We go back every week,” writer/EP April Blair said during the event.
She adds that “We try to maintain the two worlds. It’s not The OC model where we take him out…This is about a boy straddling two worlds…He does not leave his family behind. He struggles to maintain his life in both places.”
There’s a brand new teaser trailer for All American and it looks so good!
