The CW‘s Fall premiere dates have just been revealed!
While the network previously announced what nights of the week the shows will be airing this fall, we now know what exact dates the shows will premiere.
The CW has just unveiled the new schedule for the 2021/2022 season, which starts this fall!
The network has added new shows to it’s new seven day schedule, and has moved time slots for some of it’s big shows.
The CW is issuing early renewals to many of it’s series!
The network just announced that 12 shows will be back for new seasons, according to Variety.
Among the early renewals include new show Walker, as well as Riverdale, The Flash, Legacies, Batwoman, Charmed, DC’s Legends of Tomorrow, Nancy Drew, Roswell, New Mexico, In The Dark, Dynasty, and All American.
DC’s Legends of Tomorrow, Roswell, New Mexico, In The Dark and Dynasty have yet to premiere their new seasons on the network.
“Though we’re just a few weeks into the new season, we wanted to get a strategic head start on next season with these early renewals, which allows our production teams to start laying out story arcs and hiring staff, and at the same time, continues to provide us with a strong, stable schedule to build on for next season,†CW President Mark Pedowitz said in a statement.
“As The CW’s 2020-2021 season kicks into high gear, we are thrilled creatively with the direction of our first new shows out of the gate, Walker and Superman & Lois, that we wanted to order the additional episodes to complete their first seasons, and we are particularly pleased with the huge success of the launch of Walker, which debuted as our most watched series premiere in 5 years.â€
The CW has also ordered five more episodes for Walker‘s current first season, and two more episodes of Superman & Lois, which premieres later this month.
Legacies has a new addition to the cast – Omono Okojie!
The actress is set to recur on the current third season of the CW series as Cleo, Deadline reports.
Cleo is “a new witch student at the Salvatore School, who bonds with Hope (Danielle Rose Russlell) over their artistic passions. Free-spirited and self-reliant, Cleo is excited to find a new home at the school, and to earn a place in its Super Squad.”
Omono‘s role as Cleo will be a recurring role, so we’ll be seeing more of her this season!
Her credits include NCIS, Bella and the Bulldogs, Gook, Her Side of the Bed and Lift. Other projects she has upcoming include The Entertainers and Trees of Peace, which are both marked as in post-production on IMDb.
Legacies, like many, many other productions, was affected by the pandemic.
In a new interview, executive producer Brett Matthews opened up about how it affected the trajectory of the upcoming third season.
“It impacted it drastically, in one sense,” he told ComicBook.com. “I think I’d literally finished like writing the last line of Episode 20, which we thought was the finale when we had to shut down.”
“So, when we made the decision to sort of wind down the show for a year because we just didn’t feel like it was safe to continue so, like you said, luckily we were sort of able to engineer what feels like an ending and leave storylines in a good cliffhanger-y place in Episode 16,” Brett added. “But we sort of made the decision that we still wanted to give stories from Season 2 their proper conclusion so you will see, you know, certain things bleed over and play out over the first couple of episodes of Season 3 before we sort of begin the majority of the new material post-COVID in episode five.”
Legacies season three will pick up where season two left off for the first four episodes.
