Auli’i Cravalho Stars in the New Musical Series 'Rise' - Watch The Promo!

we’re already obsessed with Auli’i Cravalho in the new show Rise – and it hasn’t even premiered yet!

The first promo for the upcoming NBC musical drama starring the 17-year-old Moana star was just released and it definitely looks like it’s going to be an emotional roller coaster.

Rise is based on the book Drama High by Michael Sokolove and “follows Lou Mazzuchelli (How I Met Your Mother‘s Josh Radnor), an English teacher who takes over his high school’s lackluster theater department in what becomes a life-changing journey for all involved,” according to EW.

Rise premieres Tuesday, March 13 at 10 p.m. ET on NBC, before moving to its regular time of 9 p.m. ET the following Tuesday, March 20.

Elle Fanning, 19, Yara Shahidi, 17, and Maddie Ziegler, 15, have all landed spots on Time magazine’s list of the 30 Most Influential Teens of 2017!

Elle has made a statement in the both the acting world and the fashion world, and she wants to direct her own movie one day. “From nothing to something,” she told the outlet about creating a story. “That’s very enticing to me.”

Black-ish star and Harvard-bound Yara has also influenced the world by being open about important issues facing society. “My family taught me to use my voice, my work, to help better society,” she said.

Other teens who made the list include Auli’i Cravalho, Kaia Gerber, Noah Cyrus, Ethan and Grayson Dolan, Willow Smith, Brooklyn Beckham, Sydney McLaughlin, Isaac Hempstead Wright, Bretman Rock, Jaden Smith, Millie Bobby Brown, and Shawn Mendes.

Auli’i Cravalho, Elizabeth Gillies, and Mae Whitman look lovely while attending Entertainment Weekly and People’s Upfronts Party on Monday (May 15) at Second Floor in New York City.

Auli’i, best known for voicing the title role in Moana, is set to star in NBC’s new musical series Rise and she was joined at the event by co-stars Josh Radnor, Damon J. Gillespie, Taylor Richardson, and Ted Sutherland.

While it has not yet debuted online, the trailer for Rise was shown at NBC’s upfronts presentation and it got rave reviews from reporters.

Mae was at the event with Good Girls co-star Retta while Elizabeth represented the reboot of Dynasty.

FYI: Elizabeth is carrying a Louise et Cie clutch.

Moana Searches For Demigod Maui In First Official Trailer for 'Moana' - Watch Now!

Moana gets a high-five from the ocean in the first trailer for Moana.

The upcoming Disney film follows an adventurous teenager who sails out on a daring mission to save her people.

During her journey, Moana (voice of Auli’i Cravalho) meets the mighty demigod Maui (voice of Dwayne Johnson), who guides her in her quest to become a master wayfinder.

Together, they sail across the open ocean on an action-packed voyage, encountering enormous monsters and impossible odds, and along the way, Moana fulfills the ancient quest of her ancestors and discovers the one thing she’s always sought: her own identity.

Moana hits theaters on November 23rd!
