Exciting news forGinny & Georgia fans – season two is on the way!
The series renewal was announced in a fun video by the cast, including the show’s stars Antonia Gentry and Brianne Howey.
“We are so appreciative of the incredible response and love you all have shown Ginny & Georgia. We’re especially grateful to Brianne and Toni, who set the highest bar every step of the way. We can’t wait to return to Wellsbury for Season 2,” showrunner/executive producer Debra J. Fisher and creator/executive producer Sarah Lampert shared in a statement.
Season one followed angsty and awkward fifteen year old Ginny Miller (Gentry), who often feels she doesn’t measure up to her thirty year old mother, the irresistible and dynamic Georgia Miller (Howey). Growing up on the move, Georgia desperately wants to put down roots in picturesque New England and give her family something they’ve never had… a normal life. But it’s not all carpool and Kombucha as Georgia’s past follows them to threaten her and her family’s fresh start.

“As a young girl, I always wanted to watch a TV show that had a heroine who looked like me and Ginny was finally THAT GIRL!” director and producer Anya Adams shared. “Her story was compelling and exciting and I wanted to be a part of bringing that to life. The opportunity to be part of creating a coming-of-age series with an all-female creative team that is centered on a mixed-race young woman was ultimately the draw for me.”
“We wanted Ginny & Georgia to be a fun, feel-good ride about women, by women, for everyone; one that depicted a nuanced and complicated mother-daughter relationship, and layered female friendships in a way that isn’t always seen in shows,” showrunner Debra J. Fisher said.

The 30-year-old actress has signed on to star as Georgia in Netflix’s upcoming new YA series Ginny & Georgia, Deadline reports.
Joining Brianne in the new show is newcomer Antonia Gentry as Ginny. She can be seen in the movie Candy Jar, which is currently available to watch on the streaming platform.
Ginny & Georgia follows angsty and awkward fifteen-year-old Ginny Miller who often feels more mature than her thirty-year-old mother, the irresistible and dynamic Georgia Miller. After years on the run, Georgia desperately wants to put down roots in picturesque New England and give her family something they’ve never had… a normal life. For Ginny, that means navigating a prestigious school, rising popularity, and complicated love interests. But it’s not all carpool and Kombucha as Georgia’s past threatens her and her family’s new way of life.
The series is currently in production in Toronto, Canada and will be out in 2020.
