Troye Sivan Shares Story of How He Came To Write a Song for BTS

Troye Sivan Shares Story of How He Came To Write a Song for BTS

Troye Sivan is opening up about how BTS ended up recording a song that he co-wrote.

The 24-year-old actor and singer recently shared the story of how the song came about.

“My writing crew, the crew that I wrote ‘Youth’ with, the crew that I wrote ‘Bite’ with, the crew that I wrote so many of my songs with… The first song we ever, ever, ever wrote together, at the time, it was called ‘Hologram Hearts.’ Terrible, terrible title, and we wrote it and I was like, ‘Oh cool, I actually really like writing with these people. This was really fun.’ So we kept writing, the next time we wrote was when we wrote ‘Youth’ or something like that, and we sat on this song for like six years, ‘Hologram Hearts’, completely, completely forgot about it,” Troye dished.

“Somehow, it got into the hands of the BTS boys who I love, and they loved the song. They were like, ‘Wait, we’re gonna cut this.’ And I freaked out, quickly tried to learn Korean, failed miserably,” he continued. “Somebody translated it, and I guess they changed some lyrics and stuff like that, and now it’s called ‘Louder Than Bombs’, but I didn’t hear it until it was out in the world. So I was like, ‘Oh!’ At midnight or whenever that album came out, and refreshing, refreshing with the rest of the world, because everyone is obsessed, as they should be, and now I have a song on a BTS album, and I’m really excited about it, and I love it. And they sound SO good, so much better than I ever sounded on that song. So I’m happy.”

The other writers Troye is referring to are his friends Allie X, Leland and Bram Inscore.

Agust D has dropped his long awaited solo project D-2!

Rapper Min Yoongi, also known as SUGA from BTS, had fans talking all week about whether the release was coming, and it’s here.

Agust D not only dropped the 10 song album, but he also released the music video for “Daechwita”, the second song on the album.

“[D-2] is a documentation of myself as a 28-year-old. This is the output of my time in quarantine. In a way, it was a creative silver lining. It was a time during which I was able to learn, again, the meaning of the phrase ‘due to’,” he told Apple Music about the new album.

D-2 also features collabs with RM, NiiHWA, Kim Jong Wan, and the song “Burn It” with MAX!

MAX teased earlier this year that he would be working with a K-pop artist and many guessed that it would be SUGA.
