Dominic Sherwood and Will Tudor may be really good friends off-screen, but on-screen, Jace Wayland knows a psycho when he sees one.
In a couple of new interviews, the Shadowhunters star opened up about Will’s Sebastian, calling him a complete “psychopath”.
“We’ve been doing interviews for the past two or three months, and I’ll I’ve wanted to say is, ‘No! Don’t trust him because he’s a total dick!’” he shared.
“But you can’t say that yet because he’s super charming and lovely on screen. But now, I can be like, ‘See? See, I told you! He’s a nightmare. He’s got another person all bloody and chained up in his closet! That’s crazy!’”
Dominic added, “Not only is he this crazed maniac, kind of Silence of the Lambs–style crazy person, but [the Clave] welcomed him in…so now we not only have Valentine to worry about, we have this mole.”
He’s hot, charming, and crazy and JJJ can not wait to see how it all plays out.
“Jace and Alec, in my opinion, have one of the best relationships on the show because it is a bond that is beyond love or physical attraction or friendship or whatever,” he shared. “It’s kind of a soul bond.”
Dominic adds that he and Matthew Daddario have tried to embody the true meaning of soulmates into Jace and Alec’s relationship.
“They don’t necessarily have to say anything, they feel it through each other, and that can be hugely positive, but it can also be heartbreaking at times,” he says. “You’ll see it later on. That relationship and that bond ends up being wonderful and hugely negative at the same time.”
Dominic Sherwood and Sarah Hyland have been together for just about two years and they’re just about the coolest couple ever.
If you didn’t hear, Sarah will actually be guest starring on Dominic‘s show, Shadowhunters, in the upcoming season — and he is over the moon about it.
While he can’t tell you anything about her role, he can tell you this: “I can tell you she was a real pleasure and asset to have on set.”
Dominic adds, “The cast, the crew, everyone just fell in love with her not only from her performance but also her attitude and her soul and how caring she is. It was a real pleasure to have her on set.”
He’s also super proud of her, too
“All I can say is one, she does an amazing job and I’m very excited for everyone to see her, and two, I’m incredibly proud of her.”
We know it’s inevitable — the Clace and Climon love triangle is definitely coming for us in season 2B of Shadowhunters.
What we don’t know is just how it will end up.
With the reveal that Jace is no longer her brother, will he now make a move on Clary?
“Jace has an opening if he wants it,” Katherine McNamara shared in a new interview. “But he and Simon have also become closer, and he doesn’t want to step on those toes. He doesn’t want to get in the way of Clary’s happiness or of Simon’s.”
Katherine makes an really good argument for Clace to be endgame though.
“Clary and Jace have had a connection from moment one. They’re drawn to each other; they’re connected,” she says. “Their chemistry is just electric, and when you have two characters like that, they will never be out of each other’s lives.”
Kat adds, “You saw that in that fight in Episode 7. They were working as a team; they were perfectly in sync, and that will continue, but it will continue to be tested and pushed and challenged and brought to its limits because of the other extraneous circumstances.”
It looks like we’ll get to see the Clary, Simon and Jace love triangle in full when Shadowhunters returns this summer.
Freeform just dropped two new teasers — with one showing that Jace is stepping back and telling Clary NOT to give up her relationship with Simon for him or anything.
