Billie Eilish hits the stage to accept the award for Album of the Year at the 2020 Grammy Awards on Sunday (January 26) at the Staples Center in Los Angeles.
The 18-year-old singer accepted the award for her album When We All Fall Asleep, Where Do We Go?.
The 18-year-old singer was clearly in shock when she won the award for Song of the Year for “Bad Guy” at the event on Sunday (January 26) at the Staples Center in Los Angeles.
Billie and her older brother Finneas O’Connell were presented the award together during music’s biggest night.
“So many other songs deserved this. I never thought this would happen in my whole life. I feel like I joke around a lot and I never take anything seriously, but I openly want to say that I’m grateful and honored to be here,” Billie said during her acceptance speech.

Billie performed a 40 minute set which included her tracks, “bad guy”, “My Strange Addiction” and “You Should See Me in a Crown”.

The siblings share how the 18-year-old started with the beat, and the process of creating each part the track.
One super fun little tid bit they shared, is that the music in the hook of the song, is basically the same as the theme song from Wizards of Waverly Place. She also did 34 takes of the “duh”.
In case you missed it, Billie recently appeared on The Late Late Show with James Corden‘s “Carpool Karaoke“, and shared that she and Finneas actually recorded her whole debut album When We All Fall Asleep, Where Do We Go? in his home studio in his bedroom at their parents’ house.
