It was just announced that the 24-year-old singer’s upcoming movie Cinderella has been acquired by Amazon Studios, Deadlinereveals.
This is Camila‘s feature film debut, where she was also integral in the music aspect of the movie. Cinderella will feature pop songs from contemporary artists as well as original music from Camila.
Earlier this year, it was announced that the movie will be coming to theaters on July 16th, but with it moving to Prime, it’s uncertain if that date will remain the same. Stay tuned for more details!
Sad news for Camila Cabello fans – we’re going to have to wait a little bit longer for her Cinderella movie!
The 23-year-old singer is set to star as the iconic princess in a new, music driven film.
Cinderella was originally slated to be released on February 5th, but after the pandemic delayed production, and theaters are still not open, Sony has moved the date.
“Your invitation awaits. ✨ #CinderellaMovie comes to theaters July 2021. 👑,” the movie’s official Instagram wrote.
The new release date is set for July 16th. Sony also moved the dates for Ghostbusters: Afterlife, from June 11th to November 11th, and Tom Holland‘s Uncharted, from July 16th to February 11, 2022.

The film’s studio, Sony Pictures, just updated the movie’s official social media pages with the official new logo.
“Get ready for the musically-driven, bold new #CinderellaMovie 👑 🎶 featuring global artists and original songs performed by @Camila_Cabello, @TheeBillyPorter, and @IdinaMenzel. Coming soon to theaters. ✨,” they captioned the pic.
The movie also got it’s own page on the Sony Pictures website, with all the latest information you may need, including all of the movie’s official social media handles and hashtag.
The song “Into the Unknown” from Frozen 2 is nominated for Best Original Song at the 2020 Oscars and it was performance at the event on Sunday (February 9) at the Dolby Theatre in Hollywood.
The original Elsa, Idina Menzel, was joined on stage by nine other actresses who voiced the role of Elsa in international versions of the Disney film.
Aurora, who provided the mysterious voice for the song, also joined them on stage.
“Into the Unknown” is nominated for Best Original Song at the Oscars. The song “Let It Go” from the first movie won the Oscar six years ago!
FYI: Idina is wearing a J Mendel dress and Harry Winston jewels.
Among the songs are Elsa’s big number “Into the Unknown,” Anna’s song “The Next Right Thing,” and a group number called “Some Things Never Change.” There are also cover versions of songs by music stars like Panic! at the Disco, Kacey Musgraves, and Weezer.

We’re less than two months away from Frozen 2 hitting theaters and Disney has released a preview of Idina Menzel singing the big Elsa number “Into the Unknown.”
The soundtrack for the movie, which will be released on November 15, is officially available for pre-order and the track list was revealed. Seven new original songs were written for the film and covers by Kacey Musgraves, Panic! at the Disco, and Weezer will be featured in the film’s end credits.
