It was just revealed that YouTube has suspended the 21-year-old from their partner program, according to Insider.
The video platform has temporarily demonetized James, citing their Creator Responsibility Policy. The policy states, “If we see that a creator’s on- and/or off-platform behavior harms our users, community, employees or ecosystem, we may take action to protect the community.”
It also says that it “may take action against creators who intend to cause ‘malicious harm to others’ or who cause ‘real world harm’ via abuse or violence, cruelty, or participating in fraudulent or deceptive behavior.”
Late last week, Jamesshared a statement on Twitter, talking about accountability and says that his legal team is taking action against more fake stories that are coming out.
James and Morphe have also mutually “agreed to end our business relationship and wind down sales of the Morphe x James Charles product offering.”
James Charles is parting ways with his YouTube competition series Instant Influencer!
The 21-year-old beauty vlogger will no longer be the host of the show, nor will he be a part of it.
“We can confirm Season 2 of the YouTube originals series Instant Influencer will take a new creative direction, including a new host,†a YouTube spokesperson told Variety. “We thank James for a great first season, and look forward to building on the show’s success by expanding the opportunity to showcase a diversity of creators across the YouTube platform in our upcoming season.â€
Though James is no longer attached to the show, it’s still moving forward, and will reportedly not only have a new host, but will also focus on a different category of creators. The new host and details will be announced soon.
James hosted and was a key part of Instant Influencer season one. He even shared that he had a lot of ideas for the first season, but because it was the first, they weren’t able to do things he had hoped to. He also announced the second season and teased some great things coming.
James Charles is a trending topic on Twitter after he showed off a brand new look on social media.
The 21-year-old makeup expert took to his socials to show off his newly shaved head while out for dinner on Thursday night (February 11) at Boa Steakhouse in Los Angeles.
After arriving the restaurant, James chatted with videographer Kevin Wong about his new look.
“Just trying something new,” James said. When asked if he actually shaved his head, he responded, “I did. Do you like it? It’s gonna be my new look. It’s real. I just did it today.”
James says he shaved his head himself. He said, “Of course. Had to film. I had to film the entire thing.”
A lot of fans don’t think James actually shaved his head and they think he’s just wearing a bald cap.

Noah Beck‘s new AwesomenessTV series Noah Beck Tries Things has premiered!
The 19-year-old TikTok star, just as the title suggests, is trying his hand at new things, including dancing, cooking, makeup and more.
“My friends take me through a little bootcamp of what they’re good at, and then they grade me at the end. You’ll realize that I need to work on some things, but it was really fun,” Noah previously shared with People.
“You’re going to see me try putting makeup on one of the biggest makeup gurus in the world — so that one should be quite a show,” he added about the first episode.
The season kicked off with James Charles teaching Noah how to do makeup on a practice head. Noah then did a look on James‘ actual face, where he received a grade for his efforts – a C+!
“I definitely think you did a really great job. You put your all into it, you put your heart into it, and I really appreciate that,” James shared. “I definitely think a lot of practice could make perfect in the end. Makeup is really challenging, but at the end of the day, it’s all about having fun, feeling confident and expressing yourself. I think that that’s what happened here.”
“I thought I was gonna be way better, just coming into it confidently, but turns out, yeah, was not my strong suit,” Noah said.
