The 31-year-old singer expressed her love for Game of Thrones star Maisie Williams while accepting her special award on Tuesday (May 11) at the O2 Arena in London, England.
Maisie presented Taylor with the Global Icon Award and the singer kicked off her speech by saying, “Anyone who knows me at all knows that Game of Thrones is my life. So the fact that Maisie was here to present this… I want to grab you, but I can’t! We’re social distancing. But thank you so much for coming here to do this!”
During her acceptance speech, Taylor hit back at negativity with an inspiring message about proving people wrong.

Maisie has been seen at a couple of other fashion shows during Paris Fashion Week over the last week. She was seen going solo at the Chloe show on Thursday (October 1), and she joined boyfriend Reuben Selby at the Dior show earlier in the week.

Maisie recently opened up to Interview Magazine about learning French during her time off in quarantine.
“It’s going well. Every time I think I’m fluent, I realize I don’t have a clue how to say anything, but I’m going back to Paris to learn some more,” Maisie said.
“I’ve been going to this school called Alliance Francaise, and it’s really great,” she added. “It’s been nice to spend this downtime concentrating on something, because when you don’t have a role to prepare for, or a script to read, or an audition to do, you can feel a bit lost. It’s been nice to use this time and do something that’s all my own, and not for anyone else.”

In about a week, Reuben will be presenting his new fashion line at Paris Fashion Week.
“The truth is, I’ve always struggled with words. But, through art I have a vocabulary that can truly express the way I feel and think. From as early as I can remember I have been exploring nonverbal communication and now I finally have the tools and the confidence enough to tell my story and express my inner world through art,” he wrote on Instagram.
“Taking form as a brand, I will present my first collection on the 5th October. As much as this is for me, it’s for you, introverts. You are not alone,” he continued.
“As with any great design, you first set the foundations,” Reuben added. “With this first collection I am putting those foundations in play, creating and developing the outline of things to come. From here on, as our vocabulary broadens, the details will follow.”

The 23-year-old Game of Thrones actress was joined by her boyfriend Reuben Selby for the event, which raised funds to provide crucial support to the Foundation’s global initiatives dedicated to the Ocean, the Earth & Humanity.
The gala brought together philanthropists and celebrities with COVID-19 protocols strictly enforced for the health and safety of all guests, and for those working behind the scenes.
