Jason Won't Appear in the 'Pretty Little Liars' Series Finale, Sorry

There’s one character that will not appear in the Pretty Little Liars series finale.

Showrunner Marlene King has confirmed that Jason (Drew Van Acker) won’t be in the episode, so we’ve sadly already seen the last of him.

“We won’t see Jason, because we couldn’t get him for the finale,” Marlene told TVLine.com. “That I can tell you. But other than that, you’ll see a lot.”

She also recently opened up about the big time jump too!

Pretty Little Liars airs Tuesday, June 27 at 8 p.m. on Freeform.

'Pretty Little Liars' Finale Has 'Almost Three Endings,' Marlene King Says

We’re only a day away from the series finale of Pretty Little Liars and we’re slowly learning more and more about what to expect.

Showrunner Marlene King has teased a couple of big things – including a time jump and the ending itself.

“Let me tell you though, the finale has almost three endings,” Marlene told Vulture. “I feel like each one of them gives us a little bit more closure. It’s a little booster, like two little extra moments.”

“And we have a time jump as well,” she added. “It gave us a chance to really start with a fresh breath of air, so you feel like you’re watching a two-hour movie you can see in the theater with a beginning, middle, and end.”

Pretty Little Liars airs Tuesday, June 27 at 8 p.m. on Freeform.

'Pretty Little Liars' Showrunner Marlene King Says THIS is the Plotline That Upset Fans Most

'Pretty Little Liars' Showrunner Marlene King Says THIS is the Plotline That Upset Fans Most

Pretty Little Liars showrunner I. Marlene King has been doing interview after interview with the final episode coming in just a few days — and we’re learning more than ever about the show we just can’t let go of.

Marlene has already revealed that Toby’s surprising involvement in A-team was her favorite twist of all, but now she is addressing what plot line upset fans the most in a new interview, and it’s definitely not what we would have expected.

“Probably the biggest reaction we got from fans that stayed for a while was Maya,” she told Vulture, “People sent us pens to write her back into the story. Fans are still very passionate about that story line.”

As Pretty Little Liars comes to a close after seven gut-wrenching seasons, we are reminiscing about all of our favorite stories — and we aren’t the only ones. Showrunner I. Marlene King recently opened up about her favorite twist from the show’s run.

“I think my most favorite [shocker] was the reveal of Toby being on the A-Team,” she told TooFab, “Because Toby to me was the one person who never had told a single lie. When I pitched that, I made the studio and the network promise me that they weren’t going to unravel the long-term idea that he was working for the greater good.”

We have to admit, that twist absolutely jarred us as well, so we have to give her props for it. (Although, in a show where almost everyone is guilty of something, can anything truly shock us?)

All we can say is, you have made lifelong devotees out of us, Marlene. We will watch every show you’re signed on to and that is a promise.

'Pretty Little Liars' Boss Promises Two Weddings in Final Episodes!

'Pretty Little Liars' Boss Promises Two Weddings in Final Episodes!

Two of our favorite Pretty Little Liars couples are getting married!

Showrunner Marlene King recently revealed that there are weddings coming up in the final three episodes – two, to be exact.

“We’ve always said that there was going to be at least one wedding, but I can promise you that in the next three episodes, there will be two more weddings on the show,” Marlene said (via EW) during the 2017 ATX Television Festival this past week in Austin, Texas.

Costume designer Cameron Dale said about designing the gowns, “It was scary! It’s so secret – I was trying to talk to designers and I was like, ‘I can’t say anything!’ I’m just always so scared to reveal anything.”

Marlene also teased, “Some wore bridesmaids’ dresses.”

So who is getting married?! We know Hanna (Ashley Benson) and Caleb (Tyler Blackburn) just got engaged, so they are certainly a possibility.

What about Aria (Lucy Hale) and Ezra (Ian Harding), who despite some drama lately, got engaged earlier in the season?

Or Spencer (Troian Bellisario) and Toby (Keegan Allen)? And hey, we’re still holding out hope that Ali (Sasha Pieterse) and Emily (Shay Mitchell) may make it official too. Let the speculation begin!

This is How the 'Pretty Little Liars' Cast Kept All Those Secrets

This is How the 'Pretty Little Liars' Cast Kept All Those Secrets

We never knew, but some of the things the Pretty Little Liars teased over the years were actually true!

In fact, the cast recently revealed that some of the way they kept all those “A” secrets was…by telling the truth!

“I feel like in the past I’ve definitely said the truth about some things because I knew people wouldn’t believe me,” Troian Bellisario told EW. “That was the best way to keep the secret – to bluntly say exactly what would happen and then say, ‘But can you ever trust me?’ And because I’ve been on a show with the word ‘liar’ in the title, nobody believed me! I think I said it about, like, Mona at one point.”

Showrunner Marlene King said, “I’ve only let something slip one time and it was you [Ashley Benson] in the orange jumpsuit. You came to a meeting in your orange jumpsuit and I lied because it was around Halloween. I said, ‘No no, we’re dressing up for Halloween,’ but fans knew. That’s the only time I’ve screwed up.”

“In the age of social media, we’ve been really lucky that nobody has, excluding me that time with Hanna in the orange jumpsuit, messed anything up,” she added.
