Here’s a synopsis: Five high-school students (Mendler, Hicks, Kiyoko, Scott, Michael) form a music group and prepare to compete against a popular rock band.
The movie premiered on the network on April 15, 2011, and a couple of months later, a sequel was announced, though it never came to fruition.

In “Young & Younger”, Sofia (Aimee Carrero) encourages Gabi to start dating again in the hopes she’ll move on from Josh (Jonathan Sadowski).
But Josh takes an immediate dislike to Gabi’s new guy, Cam, leaving Gabi confused about their relationship. And when Josh seems to discover some surprising news about Cam, Gabi refuses to believe him, which leads her to learn even more surprising news about Cam.
Meanwhile, Elliot (Rex Lee) tries a little too hard to fit in with Josh’s programmer friends.
In “Cover For Me”, Emily (Shay Mitchell) takes up the sleuthing reins as she searches for answers about Ezra (Ian Harding) and Mona (Janel Parrish).
After confronting both, Emily tries to make sense of the heartbreaking situation. Hanna (Ashley Benson), on the other hand, begins a new search after being confronted by Det. Holbrook and Lt. Tanner with a possible new lead in Alison’s (Sasha Pieterse) case.

The ABC Family dramedy will not be coming back for a second season on ABC Family, THR reports.

Jane By Design followed high schooler Jane Quimby (Dasher), who moonlighted as an executive assistant to a hotshot executive (Andie MacDowell) at a top New York City fashion house.
In the season finale, “The Bonus Check,” With the school play’s future in the lurch because of her, Jane (Dasher) decides to do something very unselfish – giving the play her well earned bonus check from Donovan Decker so the show can go on.
But with the play back on, and getting some much needed help from the Donovan Decker crew on the costumes, Jane feels like she may have given up more than just some money for this play.

In “The Backup Dress,” Once in awhile people get a second chance and for the Quimby family they are getting them in spades. After a faux date with Eli (Bryan Dechart) for her birthday, Jane (Dasher) finally gets the opportunity to go on a real date, while Ben (David Clayton Rogers) gets a second chance of a lifetime when a minor league baseball scout wants him to try out for a coveted spot.
With Dakota’s (John Brotherton) proposal hanging in the air, Kate (Teri Hatcher) must decide on if she should give marriage a second chance or will she allow her commitment issues to scare her off again.
But if Kate says yes, what does that mean for Jane and Ben? Will their second chance with their mother be over with her heading back to Colorado for marital bliss?

In two weeks, the hit ABC Family show will return with “The Online Date.” In the episode, love is in the air, but needs a little help to get going and Jane (Dasher) is determined to help her friends out.
Meanwhile, Billy (Nick Roux) is caught off guard when Zoe (Mariah Buzolin) invites him to meet her parents. Kate (Hatcher) on the other hand, decides to help Gray (Andie MacDowell) take the next step with her love life by setting up an online dating profile for her. Mortified by her mother’s actions, Jane must now try to put a stop to the online dating scheme before Gray finds out and fires her for sure.
