Rachel Zegler is enjoying some time off from filming Shazam: Fury of the Gods!
The 20-year-old actress headed over to Orlando, Fla., to spend time at The Most Magical Place on Earth – Walt Disney World.
While at the parks, Rachel had some fun multiple rides, including the Jungle Cruise, where one of her friends was the skipper! If you missed it, check out the ride enhancements that are coming to the Jungle Cruise ride.
The 20-year-old actress called the role “a dream come true” and was met with a ton of congratulatory messages.
More so, a lot of Disney stars sent her messages via the comments section of her Instagram, including her Shazam: Fury of the Gods co-star Zachary Levi, who starred in Disney’s Tangled!
While the new film, starring Ansel Elgort and Rachel Zegler, is a reimagining of the original, the trailer was very similar to the OG movie’s trailer from 60 years ago.
Even Rachel‘s white dress is just like the one that Natalie Wood wears in the original film.
The original West Side Story film was released on October 1961, and the new one will premiere in theaters just over 60 years later, on December 10, 2021.

West Side Story was directed by Steven Spielberg, and tells the classic tale of fierce rivalries and young love in 1957 New York City.
If you didn’t know, Rita was actually in the original 1961 film as Anita, and she won an Oscar for her performance. She also serves as an executive producer on the new reimagining.
The 19-year-old West Side Story actress will have a key role in Shazam: Fury of the Gods, according to TheWrap.
Rachel‘s casting makes her the second Columbian American to be cast in a DC movie, following the recent announcement of Sasha Calle joining the upcoming The Flash movie!
“i am in my key role in shazam 2 era,†she tweeted after the news was announced.
Details on Rachel‘s role and the plot are being kept quiet for now. David F. Sandberg will direct, with a screenplay by Henry Gayden and Chris Morgan.
Rachel will star in the upcoming West Side Story remake as Maria, opposite Ansel Elgort. The film was supposed to be released last December, but was pushed back due to the pandemic. It will now come out on December 10, 2021!

The 19-year-old actress, who will play Maria in the upcoming West Side Story movie remake, is taking time off from the social media app after she was attacked by Ansel Elgort fans who called her a “homewrecker” for saying that she loved her co-star.
Rachel did a cover of Lana Del Rey‘s song “hope is a dangerous thing for a woman like me to have – but i have it” and wrote the following message on her YouTube page.
“just… be kind. there’s not much more i can say but just be nice to each other. be there for your friends. be a friend. be family. be kind. spread love. don’t assume, always approach the world with an open heart and open mind. my love for you all is undying. love each other. love you. xo,” Rachel said.
