Issac Ryan Brown Spills on the 'Raven's Home' Cast: 'They Make You Step Up Your Game'

Issac Ryan Brown is spilling the deets on his Raven’s Home castmates and he has nothing but great things to say!

The 12-year-old actor opened up about the show’s stars Raven Symone and Anneliese van der Pol as well as Navia Robinson and Sky Katz.

Raven and Anneliese, they are probably the funniest people I know! I was amazed by how humble they were and how much work they put in…kind of makes you want to step up your game,” Isaac explained.

He added, “Our cast is just really incredible.”

Check out all that Issac had to say about Navia and Sky in the video below…

In tonight’s episode, called “You’re Gonna Get It”, Nia (Navia Robinson) sneaks to school wearing makeup against Raven’s (Raven Symone) wishes, and she draws the attention of the 8th grade girls who invite her to hang out.

Meanwhile, Booke (Issac Ryan Brown) has a vision about Levi (Jason Maybaum) that doesn’t turn out too well.

Raven’s Home airs TONIGHT @ 8PM ET/PT on Disney Channel.

Raven Symone Talks Her Strong Friendship with Anneliese van der Pol

Raven Symone and Anneliese van der Pol have one of the strongest friendships in the business and the key to it all is making an effort to keep in touch.

The two Raven’s Home stars went through just about everything side by side growing up and came out on top.

“It would have to be the camaraderie we had behind the scenes,” Raven shared with Buzzfeed. “We had such a fun time. I don’t know how many cakes I’ve had in my face and hair, all of the costumes we had, and the fact that we were a family.”

Raven adds of first connecting with Anneliese, “We are still close today, we chilled after the show ended. It was funny because, like, I’m this person: I don’t text you every day, I might not call you every day, you might hear from me maybe once a month. But that’s because I’m workin’, that’s ’cause I’m talking to my momma half the time, and she [Anneliese] understood that.”

“So we always had tabs on each other, so I moved here [to NYC] and she called me and was like, ‘You’re moving to New York?!’ I’m like, ‘Yeah!’ She’s like, ‘I’m already here!’ So we had our moment there, we went out a couple times, but we’ve always taken care of each other on our off time.”

We might say others are friendship goals, but really Raven and Anneliese invented the term.

Raven Symone Wishes She Grew Up in Today's More Body-Positive Era

Raven Symone Wishes She Grew Up in Today's More Body-Positive Era

Raven Symone has spoken out about how important it is to her that all body types are celebrated on Raven’s Home — and now she is opening up about how that was not at all the case in her (very public) childhood.

“I wish I was living now as a younger person,” the 31-year old actress said in an interview, “I probably wouldn’t have so many mental issues.”

Raven went on to detail how she was told she was “too big” to perform in concert when she was younger.

“I still did it!” she remembers to People Now. “I was on tour forever because it’s not about your size, it’s about what you have to say, if you can sing or dance, and performing. It’s not about your size.”

Fortunately, she thinks things are getting better in terms of body positivity.

“In this day and age you have all kinds, and it’s funny, it’s serious, it’s every color, it’s every head shape, it’s every hair,” she continued, “And there’s androgyny, and there’s LGBT coming in, and it feels good. We didn’t have it enough last time and I guess that’s what the past is for – to make sure the present is what it needs to be.”

We’re glad she made it through the tough times to be the body-positive role model she is today.

'Raven's Home' Isn't Trying To Be 'That's So Raven' 2.0

'Raven's Home' Isn't Trying To Be 'That's So Raven' 2.0

We can all admit that we were obsessed with That’s So Raven when it aired on Disney Channel — and even years after that.

Raven Symone gave us the catchphrases “Oh snap”, and “Ya nasty” — which we’ll admit we still use today.

But don’t go comparing the sequel series, Raven’s Home, to the original.

“We’re not trying to match the old one,” Raven explained on Good Morning America this week.

“We’re trying to present a different style and present a different show because if you keep trying to chase the old, you’re never going to keep up with it.”

Raven adds, “This is a new show all together. Yes, you have the same characters, Raven Baxter and Chelsea Daniels, but you have four new kids.”

“I think we’re creating a whole new show all together with some familiar characters, but it’s a different show” — and a great one at that.

Raven Symone Painted Several Paintings That Are in 'Raven's Home'

Raven Symone just revealed a huge secret about Raven’s Home!

During her interview on The View, the actress and producer opened up about getting her Fine Arts degree and how she’s put it to good use on the Raven’s Home set.

“I got my AA in fine arts, finally,” Raven revealed. “I have to tell you, you’ve [pointing to Whoopi Goldberg] received multiple presents, other people from the show have received presents, but you know what’s super fun? Do you guys know what secret Mickeys are?”

She adds that she was inspired by the secret faces of Mickey Mouse that were hidden over themeparks and movies and created a “Secret Raven”.

“I have paintings that I painted inside of Raven’s home,” she says. “And you’re going to have to figure out which ones are mine because my art is in my show and I’m so happy about it.”
