It has been announced that the YouTubers Vs TikTokers event will take place on June 5th, with Bryce and Austin as the main event.
According to the press release, “‘Social Gloves: Battle of the Platforms’ is a one of a kind, unprecedented live PPV entertainment mega event that will include a Gatsby-esque over-the-top production boxing competition pitting the world’s largest social media stars from YouTube against the new icons from the explosive TikTok platform.”
Other matches include Tanner Fox vs Nick Austin, Faze Jarvis vs Michael Le, DDG vs Nate Wyatt, with Tayler Holder and Danny Duncan facing off against fan picked contenders, and Deji vs Vinnie Hacker.
“This promotion is the culmination of every key learning I’ve experienced being at the very forefront of the social media industry, including the first ever social media PPV event, Logan vs KSI, which I helped put together. There we saw that the rabid international fan base of these social media moguls drove more audience and sales than traditional legacy professional athletic events,†executive producer Paul Cazers said in a statement. “This event is a perfect storm of celebrity, social media, technology, digital marketing, pop culture and, at the end of the day, good old Hollywood 101 celebrity and industry magic. Every component of this singular moment is architected to be a larger than life spectacle and drive viewers across the planet through all social media platforms. Every model that we’re seeing is tracking this to be the largest PPV event in history.â€
There were quite a few new releases not only today, but earlier this week as well.
The biggest new music comes from Chilling Adventures of Sabrina star Gavin Leatherwood, who just released his debut single “Just For Tonight,” which will be on his upcoming album. For his music, Gavin is just going by his last name, Leatherwood.
Also new this week are brand new music videos from former Disney stars Laura Marano and Selena Gomez. Laura released her “Something To Believe In” video, which featured the use of ASL.
Selena premiered her alternate video for “Baila Conmigo” with Rauw Alejandro at the 2021 Premio Lo Nuestro event, which drew many fans to be upset. Find out why on Just Jared!
The three social media stars formed a group and debuted “Feels Like Christmas” this week.
“We’re not officially a band, however, we always knew we wanted to do something for our supporters,” Kelianne told JJJ. “Our hope was to create something to lift people’s spirits as the year 2020 came to an end. We decided to do a Christmas song because we all really love Christmas.”
They also released new Christmas merch, which you can find on TheTrioShop.com!
Tayler recently opened up about the song and music in an interview on the Zach Sang Show.
“Music has always been something that’s been such a… I’ve wanted to get into it, but I never really had the knowledge or the team behind me to really attack that career,” he said. “Being an influencer and making you know, so many different connections and producers, and writers, and all that stuff, kind of brought me more into the music space where I wanted to be. Over the last year and a half is whenever I really got to start working hard on music and just building that out.”
“We tried to make it not like super cheesy, like Christmasy. We want people to have fun with the song as well, like kind of turn up, it’s kind of fun and boppy,” Tayler added about the new Christmas song.
