The CW to Revive 'Legends of the Hidden Temple' For Adults!

The Legends of the Hidden Temple TV series is making a comeback!

THR reveals that the hit 90s Nickelodeon game show will be back, but on The CW and for adult contestants.

For the new version, the game will move from the studio setting and onto a jungle set, “where members of the Purple Parrots, Blue Barracudas, Orange Iguanas, Red Jaguars, Silver Snakes and Green Monkeys will take part in a series of physical and mental challenges, scaled up for grown-up contestants.”

Olmec, the giant, talking Mayan head (voiced by Dee Bradley Baker in the original) will return, along with “gameplay elements from the original including the moat, the Steps of Knowledge and the Temple Run — where the last remaining team will have to avoid the temple guards and retrieve an artifact to return to its rightful owner.”

The original series ran for three seasons with teenage contestants going on “adventures that test their intelligence, physical prowess and determination as they search for legendary artifacts.” Each episode revolved around a myth or story based on fact.

You can catch all three seasons, as well as the 2016 TV movie, streaming on Paramount+!
