As the youngest daughter of Black Lightning (Cress Williams) on the series of the same name, her superhero persona was definitely a long time in the making.
In the first season, Jennifer’s sister Anissa (Nafessa Williams) suited up as Thunder.
“She [Anissa] knows who she is at this point at this point in her life and she’s comfortable with that, but Jennifer is still trying to figure that out,” China recently shared in an interview about Jennifer’s struggles this season. “So to have this happen to her is a huge deal and she feels kind of an alien on Earth. It’s difficult for her to deal with.”
Black Lightning is set to return on The CW on Monday, January 21st, 2019 @ 9:00PM ET/PT.
