Premiere dates are here! Or should we say “date”?!
Disney Channel has revealed the premiere date for the upcoming Descendants: The Royal Wedding special, as well as the premiere of the new series Disney’s Magic Bake-Off, which are happening on the same night.
The late Cameron Boyce‘s character Carlos’ absence will be acknowledged in the storyline and Cameron‘s memory will be honored in the telecast.
“Descendants introduced a fantasy world of stories and characters, anchored in Disney mythology. For the past six years, it captivated young viewers and grew to become among Disney Channel’s biggest entertainment franchises ever.,” Disney Channel president Gary Marsh said in a statement. “It had the benefit of immensely talented stars, who we now welcome back for this animated ‘Royal Wedding’ special that will bridge the audience to what we hope will be a new chapter of compelling Descendants stories and characters yet to come.”

The 27-year-old Descendants actor will star as Caleb Cheeshahteaumuck in the film adaptation of Geraldine Brooks‘ novel “Caleb’s Crossing,” THR reveals.
Caleb is “the first Native American graduate of Harvard University and the inspiration for Brooks‘ novel. A member of the Wampanoag tribe near Martha’s Vineyard, Caleb graduated from Harvard with a Bachelor of Arts degree in 1665, studying Latin and Greek among the colonial elite.”
Booboo will also serve as a producer on the movie along with Native American filmmaker Chris Eyre.
“Telling this story of Native American history and the major accomplishments of Native Peoples is paramount to ‘our story’ as Americans. Booboo is the perfect lead that will take us to new frontiers together,” Chris said in a statement.
This is one of a few exciting projects Booboo has in the pipeline. He also has a movie, The Never List, with his sister Fivel, coming out this year. It premiered in select theaters last December.
Booboo will also co-star in the upcoming series Paradise City, along with his late Descendants co-star Cameron Boyce. Check out the latest trailer and tune in when it premieres in March on Prime Video.
