The Netflix series will indeed be back, but it will be the final season.
“We’ve got unfinished business in Freeridge. On My Block is coming back for the 4th and final season,” Netflix teased.
The announcement comes almost a whole year since season three premiered in March 2020.
The show follows four bright and street-savvy friends navigating their way through the triumph, pain and the newness of high-school set in the rough inner city.
“Come hang out on our block one last time 🥰🥲 @onmyblock SEASON 4! We couldn’t just leave ya like that! @netflix #onmyblock,” Jessica shared on Instagram.
“🗣Y’all know what time it is..You didn’t think the squad was going out like THAT, did you? 😠@onmyblock is officially coming back for the 4th and FINAL season..Stay ready ðŸ¤ðŸ‘»,” Sierra added on her account.
The On My Block co-stars shared a sweet exchange on Twitter on Friday (March 13).
When a fan asked Sierra Capri, “What’s your favorite season from on my block?” Sierra replied, “I love them all for different reasons but prob the 3rd because my character rarely gets to let loose/ be funny. She’s always serious so I appreciated that I got to. Any scene with @JessMarieGarcia were the highlights for me and the fact I love her so much is just a bonus.”
“First of all… I love you,” Jessica Marie Garcia responded. “And secondly our scenes together this season are my favorite and the memories (and videos) I have of us shooting them are so close to my heart. You’re the bees knees Capri.”

The actress opened up with JJJ about what we can expect from the new season, which premieres TOMORROW (March 11). Watch the trailer here.
“It’s my favorite season! It has so many twists and turns, and then there’s loads of drama that’ll only be drowned out with laughter. It has all of the things and I hope the fans LOVE IT!” she said.
Jessica also revealed what her favorite part about playing Jasmine is.
“I love her vulnerability. That may not be the answer you’d expect with how crazy she can be publicly, but there is so much more to her than the ‘bigger than life’ persona she puts on,” she told us. “She’s got a huge heart that loves hard and it can break even harder.”

JJJ spoke with Jessica about her hit Netflix show, as well as her part in the new Disney+ show, where she got to work with one of her heroes, Gina Rodriguez. We also got the scoop on her red carpet looks and more.
“I have admired Gina’s career so much that I didn’t think working with her was on the realm of possibilities,” Jessica told us. “It still baffles me to think she directed me in an episode.”
