Joseph Gordon-Levitt will be starring in the upcoming live action Pinocchio film!
The 40-year-old actor is set to star as the lovable Jiminy Cricket in the new adaptation, Variety reports.
Also joining the cast is Cynthia Erivo, who will take on the role of the Blue Fairy, as well as Flora & Ulysses‘ Benjamin Evan Ainsworth, who will voice the title character, Pinocchio.
Keegan-Michael Key has been cast as the voice of Honest John, and Lorraine Bracco joins as the voice of a new character, Sofia the Seagull.
These new castings join the previously announced stars Tom Hanks as Geppetto, and Luke Evans as The Coachman.
The upcoming retelling of the animated classic will be written by Robert Zemeckis and Chris Weitz, with Robert also directing.
Pinocchio is set to begin filming this month in the UK, and will debut on Disney+!

Shailene Woodley shares a smile while attending the European premiere of her movie Snowden on Monday (September 19) at Mathaeser Filmpalast in Munich, Germany.
The 24-year-old actress was accompanied to the premiere by her co-star Joseph Gordon Levitt, who shot some the film with her in Germany earlier in the year.

Earlier in the week, Shailene opened up about how she felt after learning about the information that Edward Snowden leaked.
“It didn’t make me paranoid, it didn’t make me afraid, but it did open my eyes to a world in which we as citizens don’t necessarily live in a democracy in which the government is willing to be held accountable by its citizens, which is the definition of democracy. So how do we reinstate that? How do we empower ourselves to hold our government accountable? The way that we do that is by having whistleblowers like Edward Snowden,” she said.

Shailene Woodley is all smiles while attending a press conference for her movie Snowden at TIFF Bell Lightbox during the 2016 Toronto International Film Festival on Saturday (September 10) in Toronto, Canada.
The 24-year-old actress also had her co-stars Joseph Gordon-Levitt and Zachary Quinto and Melissa Leo by their side, and director Oliver Stone was there to speak as well.
The group – who premiered Snowden the day before at Roy Thomson Hall – took some time to speak on stage about their work on the movie, which is about NSA employee Edward Snowden leaking classified documents to the media.
Oliver also stopped by the Variety Studio at TIFF presented by Airbnb and snapped some more photos that day.
Zachary took to Instagram to share his thoughts about his first time being at TIFF.
“so thrilled to be at my first TIFF with a movie i am so proud to be a part of,” he wrote along with a pic of him on the red carpet. “i am so inspired by my fellow cast mates – and to have worked with one of my childhood heroes oliver stone. snowden is in theaters friday september 16th . check it out…”
