Melissa Benoist shows off her beautiful smile while on the set of the final season of Supergirl!
The 32-year-old actress and her co-stars Chyler Leigh, Jesse Rath and Katie McGrath were all seen wearing their masks on set at a park on Tuesday (June 8) in Vancouver, British Columbia.
Supergirl is flying onto our TV screens ONE WEEK from today, on Tuesday (March 30)!
The hit CW series will premiere it’s final season on a new night and time.
In the premiere episode, “Rebirth,” as Brainiac (Jesse Rath) lays close to death after trying to stop Lex (Jon Cryer), Supergirl (Melissa Benoist) and team soar in to save him, engaging in an epic battle with Gamenmae (guest star Cara Buono).
After beating Leviathan, Supergirl turns her attention to Lex who has used the Obsidian platform to brainwash half the world to love him and follow him at all costs, no matter what horrible things he does. Knowing how dangerous this makes her brother, Lena (Katie McGrath) enlists the entire team – Alex (Chyler Leigh), J’onn (David Harewood), Dreamer (Nicole Maines), Kelly (Azie Tesfai) and Brainiac – to help, but Supergirl realizes that the only way to truly stop Lex is to sacrifice herself.
The first part of Supergirl‘s sixth and final season will take the place of Superman & Lois as it goes on hiatus until May 18th. At that time, Supergirl will then go on a break and air the rest of the season later this summer. Find out more here!

The cast shared an adorable group hug around Mehcad, who will be leaving the CW series in season five.

In addition, the show’s producers announced that two new characters will be joining the action in National City for the upcoming season: DC’s Andrea Rojas (aka Acrata), played by Veronica Mars‘ Julie Gonzalo, and renowned reporter William Dey, played by Game of Thrones‘ Staz Nair.
Season five of Supergirl premieres on October 6.

The Supergirl co-stars addressed the crowd at the Supergirl Special Video Presentation and Q&A at the event held at San Diego Convention Center on Saturday (July 21) in San Diego, Calif.
At the event, it was announced that Supergirl will be adding three new cast members – April Parker Jones as series regular Colonel Haley, David Ajala in the recurring role of Manchester Black, and transgender activist and actress Nicole Maines, marking the first transgender superhero on TV. She made a surprise appearance during the panel!
Nicole will play Nia Nal, aka Dreamer, “the newest addition to the CatCo reporting team. A soulful young transgender woman with a fierce drive to protect others, Nia’s journey this season means fulfilling her destiny as the superhero Dreamer (much like Kara came into her own as Supergirl),” Deadline reports.
Season four of Supergirl will premiere on October 14 on The CW!

It was announced that same day that four new characters will be joining the upcoming season of Supergirl.
Adrian Pasdar and Yael Grobglas have both been cast as villains while Carl Lumbly will be playing J’onn J’onnz’s father from Mars. Also joining the show is Emma Tremblay who will be playing a teen fascinated by Supergirl.
Supergirl returns for season 3 on Monday, October 9 on The CW.
