Joshua Bassett is revealing he was super close to being a lead in a Netflix TV show!
In a recent video interview, the 20-year-old musician and actor shared that it was down to him and one other actor on this hit series.
While opening up about his first times with Buzzfeed, Joshua talked about the first role he auditioned for but didn’t get.
“I mean, I started coming out to LA when I was about 16,” he said. “There were, I mean, there were a handful of roles. I was really close to the role in Sabrina The Teenage Witch. It was down to me and Ross Lynch, and he got it. I’m super happy for him, but I was definitely really hoping for that one.”
“There’s a couple others, but that one, I guess, stands out to the one where I was, I got really close and I was really excited about it, and it just didn’t work out,” Joshua said. “But ultimately everything worked out.”
If Joshua had landed the CAOS role of Harvey, he very well may not be on High School Musical: The Musical: The Series!
The hit Netflix series just dropped the Part Four trailer and it’s getting us so excited.
Here’s a synopsis: The Eldritch Terrors will descend upon Greendale. The coven must fight each terrifying threat one-by-one (The Weird, The Returned, The Darkness to name a few), all leading up to…The Void, which is the End of All Things. As the witches wage war, with the help of The Fright Club, Nick begins to slowly earn his way back into Sabrina’s heart, but will it be too late?
Showrunner Roberto Aguirre-Sacasa teased that it’s the scariest season yet, and the trailer holds up.

You are cordially invited to the End of All Things on December 31st, 2020. 🔮🖤🎢🌪⌛ï¸ðŸ”¥,” he wrote on Instagram.
